The strategy, with over seven decades of history, has its' roots in a Washington, D.C., court case following the Great Depression, which established a list of high-quality stocks appropriate for investors. Rigorous screening criteria are used to establish a list of eligible stocks that meet stringent financial requirements and have a consistent record of earnings and dividends.
